The Sea Ranger Service is the world's first maritime ranger service, with three operational focuses:

1. Training unemployed youths as Sea Rangers and reintegrates them into maritime employment.
2. Constructing purpose-built sailing work ships which are cost-effective, zero emission and lower the barrier to entry into the maritime domain.
3. Offering a variety of offshore maintenance, management and regeneration tasks to governmental agencies and offshore firms.

The Sea Ranger approach is unique as it combines social, economic and ecological impact to tackle the endemic youth unemployment in coastal regions, develop a sustainable blue economy by offering low-tech offshore capacity and to better conserve oceans through active underwater landscape restoration programmes.
